Pin Marks are visual indicators on gates that let the player know which neighboring blocks the gate connects to. They can be seen by the sides of the gate when it is placed. Each gate can have up to 4 Pin Marks. Typically, these marks indicate input connections, while the output is distinguishable by the gate's texture.
The A Mark indicates the primary connections of the gate. When a gate only has A Marks, the order of input connections does not matter, as the output remains the same regardless of the connection order.
The B Mark indicates secondary connections of the gate. These are used when the input connections are directional or context-sensitive. For example, in some gates, the B Mark may represent the clock pin or enable pin.
The C Mark indicates the third connection of the gate.
Base Mark indicates that a gate can read or output signal or data in the direction of its base which from gates refernce frame is down. This is shown by the marks in the corner of the block.
The positions of Pin Marks, and therefore the corresponding connections of the gates, can be adjusted by right-clicking the gate block. This allows players to configure gates for specific input arrangements.
